Hair stations
New flooring, paint, and added lighting change the feel of space. The stations face a wall of birch tree decals in two shades of green leaves. The round wooden-framed mirrors are a fun element on the feature wall. Dark and dingy became warm and airy.
Front desk and work area
Across from the hair cutting stations is a work area where hair color is mixed and supplies are kept. I designed a simple front desk area that uses a beautiful tile that continues further down the salon on a low wall.
Waiting area
The waiting area is bright and airy with live edge benches and a side table/magazine rack where clients can look at hair styles before their appointment.
Exterior of salon
I designed the outside sign and created the new logo to reflect the design of the new space. Plants were added near the entrance to soften the space and make it more welcoming. We added a sidewalk sign to entice customers and advertise specials.
Bathroom
The new wall and ceiling color transformed this small bathroom. The flooring wasn't going to be replaced, so I needed to find a way make it look better by choosing a paint color that would complement it. A cabinet was added for storage, as well as a laundry bin for used towels. Updating the mirror and accessories helped to modernize the space.
